Change Your Batteries!

With Daylight Savings time ending once again, it is important to check and change your batteries in your smoke detectors. Remember to test the functionality of all detectors at least once a month, using the “test button” on the device. When changing the batteries, remember, not to use reusable batteries replace with disposable ones. Keep in mind, that all smoke detectors need replacing every 10 years.

While changing those smoke detector batteries don’t forget about carbon monoxide detectors too! Check to make sure they are working properly!

It is a good time of year to not only change the batteries and ensure they are in good-functioning order, but also go through fire safety and procedures for you and your family. Review your evacuation plan, and run through the drill in case a fire breaks out in the home.
